The peptide sequence is not the whole material description
A charged peptide may be associated with counter-ions such as acetate or trifluoroacetate, or offered in another defined form. The form can affect formula, molecular weight, pH, solubility, hygroscopicity and the relationship between gross material and net peptide content.
Do not assume one form is universally more stable
Stability depends on sequence, residual moisture, oxygen, light, temperature, pH and physical state. A buyer should ask for form-specific evidence and avoid treating free form or a named salt as automatically superior in every context.

Keep the form consistent across laboratories
Reference calculations, standards and sample preparation should use the same form assumptions. Otherwise a correct measurement may still be compared with the wrong theoretical value or acceptance limit.
